Dearborn Heights Library offers an assortment of language learning opportunities, from regular, free hosted ESL classes to online materials and experiences available to access with just your library card.
Free English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes
Free ESL classes will be held at Caroline Kennedy Library courtesy of the International Institute of Metro Detroit (IIMD).

IN-PERSON CLASSES run once a week for 10 weeks.

Classes start on April 15, 2025, and run until June 17, 2025.

Your IIMD Instructor will be Lindsay Van Loon.
This Beginner English Class (ESL) will meet every Tuesday at 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Caroline Kennedy Library (click for hours and location) in the Adult Program Room. (The first conference room on the left when you first enter the library.)
Requirements: Participants must be a Michigan Resident and must present an image of a Driver's License or official ID.
